About Gilbert Chan

Gilbert Chan is a multi-faceted Notary with excellent academic and business track records. Having immigrated to Canada as a child, Gilbert grew up in East Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia, graduating with a BA in Psychology.

He then moved to Hong Kong for several years, helping grow a trading company from just a handful of employees to over 150 people in only four years. After returning to UBC and obtaining his MBA, Gilbert began his career in banking with both the Royal Bank of Canada and the Business Development Bank of Canada.

Gilbert later obtained his MA in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University and was commissioned as a Notary Public in 2018. Fluent in both English and Cantonese, he brings over 20 years of business experience and a broad background that helps him meet a wide range of client needs.

Gilbert is also deeply involved in his community and values clear communication, practical guidance, and dependable service for every client.
